Heat-pump marketing services, and how to choose the first one

Heat-pump buyers do more homework than almost any other HVAC customer. Before they call anyone, they want to know three things: what rebate they qualify for, whether the unit will keep the house warm in a real Canadian winter, and how a heat pump compares with the furnace, boiler or baseboards they already have. HeatPump.Marketing builds your lead generation around exactly those three questions, so your company is the one that answered them when the homeowner finally picks up the phone.

We are a marketing and business consulting service, not a contractor. We don't install, size or service heat pumps. We help the companies that do sell more of them, at a cost per booked job you can see.

Why heat-pump leads behave differently

A heat-pump lead is usually a researcher, not an emergency. That changes how you should spend money on it.

A no-heat furnace call books itself in an afternoon. A heat-pump buyer may read your rebate page in September, compare quotes in October and sign in January. If your marketing only works at the moment of the click, you pay for the research and a competitor collects the job.

Three habits separate installers who win this buyer:

  • They publish the answer before the question is asked. Rebate eligibility, winter performance and running-cost questions are answered on the site, in plain language, with sources.
  • They follow up like it's a long sale. A quote is the middle of the process, not the end. See quote-to-install follow-up.
  • They track rebate jobs separately. Incentive-driven jobs have a different close rate and a different paperwork burden, so they deserve their own numbers.

The three plays in this playbook

Everything we do for heat-pump sellers falls under one of three plays, supported by paid search and follow-up.

Play 1: rebate marketing

Incentives move heat-pump demand more than any ad. As of October 2026, the federal government has announced a National Heat Pump Rebate Program for 2027, with up to $10,000 for below-median-income households and $2,000 for other eligible homeowners, while provincial and utility programs keep changing underneath it. A good rebate campaign tells homeowners what exists today, what is only announced, and how your team handles the paperwork. Details are on the rebate marketing service page.

Play 2: cold-climate education

"Will it work at minus 25?" is the objection that ends more heat-pump quotes than price. We write content that answers it honestly, using manufacturer documentation and your own installed jobs, without overpromising. See cold-climate education content.

Play 3: comparison content

Homeowners search "heat pump vs furnace", "ductless or ducted" and "is dual fuel worth it" long before they search for an installer. Pages that compare fairly earn trust and links. See comparison and decision pages.

The arithmetic we start with

Every plan begins with your numbers, because heat-pump marketing is only worth it if the jobs pay for it.

Here is a worked example you can redo with your own figures:

Input Example
Average installed heat-pump ticket $14,000
Gross margin after equipment and labour 30%
Gross profit per job $4,200
Quote-to-signed close rate 35%
Gross profit per quote $1,470

In this example, every quote you produce is worth about $1,470 in gross profit before marketing. If a campaign costs $440 per quote delivered, marketing takes roughly 30% of the profit on each job. If follow-up lifts the close rate from 35% to 45%, each quote is worth about $1,890, and the same spend suddenly looks very different. That is why we fix follow-up before we buy more clicks.

Proof from our HVAC work

We don't have a wall of logos. We have live HVAC websites you can visit and check.

  • HeatLand published 850+ SEO articles and saw a 300% lead increase in 6 months, the clearest example of what education content can do for a heating company.
  • Roma Heating & Cooling grew organic traffic 400% in 12 months.
  • HVACDeal.ca produced 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI.

These were not all heat-pump campaigns. They show the methods we apply to heat-pump lead generation. The full breakdown is on the results page.

Who we work with, and where

We work with HVAC companies that already install heat pumps or are adding them, in every province and territory. The market looks very different from region to region, as Statistics Canada's 2023 heating-energy data makes plain. In Quebec, electricity already heats most homes, so the pitch is about efficiency and LogisVert grants. In Alberta and Saskatchewan, natural gas dominates, so the pitch is about cooling, dual fuel and long-term costs. In the Maritimes, heat pumps are already the main heating system for a large share of households, so the fight is about replacement and service.

Start with the areas hub to see your province, or read the guides if you want to learn the playbook before you talk to anyone.

How to start

Begin with a short conversation and your four numbers: average ticket, margin, close rate and rebate share. We'll tell you where we think the biggest gain is, even if the answer is something your team can fix without us.

Every engagement starts with a 7-day free trial that covers four things: an audit of your current marketing, a speed and conversion check on your website, an SEO review and a benchmark against the heat-pump competitors in your area. No credit card, no lock-in. Plans and website packages are on the pricing page, and the about page explains who you'll be working with.

HeatPump.Marketing is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. We work with heat-pump installers across Canada, meeting online by video call or in person, as well as by phone, text and email.

How it works

  1. Send us your heat-pump numbers

Average installed ticket, gross margin, close rate on quotes and the share of jobs that used a rebate last year. Four figures tell us where the leaks are.

  2. Get a written play for your province

We map your local incentives, your heating-fuel mix and your competitors' content, then propose the campaigns, pages and follow-up cadence that fit, with costs on paper.

  3. Talk it through before anything starts

No sales sequence and no pressure. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

What is HeatPump.Marketing?

HeatPump.Marketing is a Canadian digital marketing and business consulting service for HVAC companies that sell heat pumps. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it from Vancouver, BC, as one of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies.

Do you install heat pumps?

No. We are not an HVAC contractor. We market and advise the companies that do the installs; we never quote, size, install or service equipment for homeowners.

How should we market the new federal heat pump rebate?

Carefully. As of October 2026 it has been announced for 2027 but is not open and has no published administrator, so you can explain what was announced and link the federal release, but you cannot promise eligibility or amounts. Our rebate playbook covers how to handle the 'should I wait?' question.

Do you work in every province?

Yes. We work with heat-pump sellers in all 10 provinces and 3 territories. Each region page covers the local fuel mix, the incentives in play as of October 2026 and the regulators installers deal with.

What does it cost?

HVAC.Agency-family plans start at $2,998 per month, and websites start at $3,500 one-time, in Canadian dollars plus GST/HST for your province (GST and QST in Quebec). Every engagement starts with a 7-day free trial, no credit card and no lock-in.

Can you promise a number of heat-pump leads?

No. Nobody honest can. We show you the arithmetic behind a plan, the results from our HVAC work that the approach is based on, and how every lead will be tracked back to its source.
